Dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings come together in an oven to create a heavenly dish we call pizza. I’ve always loved pizza and continue to explore new styles everyday.
A few years ago a new chapter began. I picked up a tube of Pillsbury Pizza Dough, a bottle of Barilla marinara sauce, and a package of shredded mozzarella. What came out tasted nothing like the pizza I’ve tried in restaurants, but when it’s made in your own oven there’s a sense of accomplishment that makes all food taste better.
I’ve come a long way since that first pizza and want to share my experiences with the world. Making a pizza can therapeutic, or social, or art, or science. The joy of making a pizza is second only to feasting on the fruits of the labor.
I hope to inspire you to make your first pizza or hone your skills. I’m not a pizzaiolo, but I am proof that anyone can make a pizza.
